The South Side Irish Rugby Football Club was founded by Gene Moriarity in 1975 in the Beverly neighborhood along with the Kennelly Brothers Art, Joe and Kevin. Our club is a social and athletic organization which has grown from the initial 15 players to a club with thousands of past and current members. We are a member of the Chicago Area Rugby Football Union and the Midwest Union.Highlights include a second place finish in Division 2 Nationals in 2002, fifth place in Division 2 Nationals in 2004 and fifth place in Division 1 National Championships in 2006.
